The film has already began production at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast with its producer saying they are thrilled to be back in Australia.
“We’re thrilled to be back on the Gold Coast with our next Monsterverse adventure,” said producer Alex Garcia.
“We had a wonderful experience here on ‘Kong: Skull Island,’ and the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland has been a terrific resource in helping us leverage the region’s stunning landscapes, exceptional facilities and fantastic crews to achieve the scope we need for this epic next chapter in the saga.”
The film will be shot over 26 weeks on the Gold Coast with production being expected to create 300 new jobs and boost small business across the region.
