Ghostbusters 3 Is Happening And The First Teaser Trailer Is Here

A third Ghostbusters film is officially confirmed to be released in 2020, 31 years afters after Ghostbusters II.
Director Jason Reitman (Juno) confirmed the news yesterday and has this morning given us our first teaser!

By taking on this film, Reitman is keeping his family legacy alive, with his father, Ivan Reitman, the director and producer of the original.
Speaking with EW, Reitman explained that this film is not a reboot, but a continuation of the original franchise in present day.
“This is the next chapter in the original franchise. It is not a reboot. What happened in the '80s happened in the '80s, and this is set in the present day.”
There is no word yet if original cast members Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson will be reprising their roles or not.
Original director Ivan Reitman pulled out of a proposed instalment of a new Ghostbusters series in 2014 when original cast member and co-writer Harold Ramis passed away.
