How does creamy milk gelato with milk jam and milo sound?
That’s the ‘Breakfast in Canberra’ – the launch flavour dedicated to Gelato Messina’s new location!
You read it right – Gelato Messina is setting up shop in Canberra, with the current building site to open its doors at the end of July!
Locals will be able to get their gelato at Lonsdale Street in Braddon, next door to another Sydney favourite, Sonoma Bakery.
35 signature flavours and 5 weekly rotating specials will be on offer – so there’s sure to be something to crush that craving!
All the deliciousness that goes into the gelato is made at Messina HQ in Sydney, like the brownies, apple pie, fudges, jams and cookies.
All those yummy additions are sent to Canberra to be prepared and churned fresh on site, with locals able to watch the process through the ‘churners window’.
The new store fit out will feature indoor planter walls – very trendy.
There’ll also be bench seating and a heated outdoor seating area.
The Canberra set-up follows ongoing requests from locals to open here in the nation’s capital.
The Braddon store will be Gelato Messina’s 17th – with other stores in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
No doubt, there’ll be plenty of Canberrans lining up to get their first taste when it opens next month!
