At the age of 46, most athletes have wrapped up their professional careers and left the days of playing footy behind them, but Gavin Wanganeen is not like most athletes.

Despite it being 10 years since his last game, the AFL legend is returning to country footy to play for the Moonta Demons!

Speaking with Bec and Cosi this morning, Gavin discussed his decision and the challenges he is expecting to face, as well as his other major news involving his second love: art.

Gavin has signed a major deal with Haigh’s chocolates which will see his artworks displayed on their packaging for the next year. He also announced that the confectionary company will be donating $40K to the University of South Australia’s scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students!

What a legend!
