The incident took place on Badgally Road at roughly 2.30pm, with it understood that the cars were parked on the side of the road.

They appear to have been parked near the Best Buys Auto car yard when the garbage truck was travelling towards the Johnson and North Steyne roundabout.

The truck's driver, a 58-year-old man, sustained minor injuries, and no one else was hurt.

According to the Macarthur Chronicle, witnesses saw the garbage truck swipe the side of one car before hitting the others.
