Gal Gadot is truly a real-life wonder woman.

The 32-year-old actress and now-mother-of-two played Wonder Woman in DC's latest movie, and the film has already smashed box office records. But there’s something we definitely didn’t pick up on while watching it.

Gal was pregnant during some of the filming!

Entertainment Weekly claims that she was five months along when she had to return to the studio in London to film an additional scene.

The costume department had to actually cut out part of the front of her costume and put green cloth there instead. This meant that Gal’s pregnant belly could be essentially removed in postproduction. Amazing, right?

She said, “on close-ups, I looked very much like Wonder Woman. On wide shots, I looked very funny, like Wonder Woman pregnant with Kermit the Frog.”

It wasn’t just any scene either. Director Patty Jenkins revealed it was a battle scene that Gal needed to film whilst carrying her daughter.

“[She’s] in a suit out in a field in the freezing cold… there are so many things we asked her to do."

It’s pretty incredible that Gal can tell her new daughter, Maya, that she’s in her mother’s stomach during a battle scene!
