Adelaide Cabaret Festival

The full Adelaide Cabaret Festival lineup has dropped today.

The 2019 program will see 380 artists in 245 shows over 16 days and nights, starting June 7.

It's being described as 'a stellar lineup that celebrates diversity, challenges cabaret stereotypes and entertains in intimate new spaces.'

In her debut as Artistic Director, Julia Zemiro says "I am so thrilled to launch our program so that I can finally declare the doors are open and welcome audiences in".

"If you love to laugh, or reminisce and hear a dark story, it’s there. If you love a big bold stand-alone main event, it’s absolutely there!" she says.

The highlights include German chanteuse Ute Lemper who'll bring her show Rendezvous with Marlene to the Thebby for one night only, Adelaide's favourite son David Campbell is Back in the Swing of Things featuring a 14-piece band, RocKwiz will rock the Thebby with a live show saluting The Rock Musical, and fresh from her appearance on the Eurovision stage Kate Miller-Heidke showcases her Adelaide exclusive performance Zero Gravity.

There are a number of free events on as well, including roaming performers in the QBE Cabaret Lounge in the Festival Theatre foyer.
