From Today You Can Swap Recyclables For Cash In Townsville, Making Your Heart And Wallet Happy

From today, you can take eligible containers to a collection depot and reclaim money for it!

The Container Refund Point Depot for Townsville, has been set up and will be run by a local Townville Company – “Reef Recycling & Logistics Pty Ltd” to execute the plan.

Starting today in Townsville, Bowen, Ayr, and Ingham you can pocket 10 cents for every eligible container that you recycle at the depot.

Individuals, as well as local charities and community groups can get involved too, earning money by handing over the eligible containers.

The list of eligible containers include:
Aluminium Cans
Stubbies
Water Bottles
1.25 Ltr Softdrink Bottles
2Ltr Softdrink Bottles

In Townsville you can visit the depot at 2/14 Keane Street in Currajong, which is complete with drive through access. 

Or alternatively you can have mass amounts of containers collected for your pub, club, function center, RSL, restaurant, and café as a one off or regular service.

The Currajong depot is open from 7:00am-5:00pm 7 days a week.

Depot owners suggest removing the bottle caps before you arrive, to make the process faster.
