25cm of fresh snow to kick-start the week, and blue skies to finish it off…
Low overnight temps, 150 guns blasting and great grooming has set up awesome conditions on the mountain as we now head into the weekend. The winds have died down today, but there were still a few cheeky pow stashes hidden off-piste from windy days earlier this week.
Conditions are dry and soft up high, dense on the lower runs due to a bit of rain earlier this week and loads of snowmaking last night.
Green, Blue or Black…all the groomed runs are in fine form. Get in early to make first tracks down Supertrail and High Noon, Karels and The Basin the groomer’s picks today. Friday Flat looking sublime for the newbies. Lots of wide turns over at the Cruiser area. Perfect carving down True Blue.
Sunshine in the forecast this weekend, winds also expected to pick up again. We’re keeping our eye on a cold front moving in from the start of next week – hopefully bringing plenty of snow showers.
All 14 lifts and 3 parks open in Thredbo. Over at Perisher, 46 lifts open.
