CBDs in the Latrobe Valley will be provided with free WiFi if the government is re-elected on Saturday.
Similar to the free WiFi programs rolled out in Bendigo, Ballarat, Geelong and Shepparton, the Labor Party has vowed to connect Moe, Morwell and Traralgon by 2020.
With the aim of helping to bridge the digital gap between metro and regional areas, the state government, if voted in again, will work with the Gippsland Regional Partnership to determine which other areas should be covered.
Treasurer Tim Pallas was in the Latrobe Valley yesterday to make the announcement.
