For the thousands of Sydney-siders planning to catch public transport tomorrow, you might find yourself battling a pile of books for a spare seat.

This Valentine’s Day the Penguin Random House is planning on scattering bundles of books all over Sydney’s public transport system.

The event is endorsed by the Street Library, Sydney, and Books on the Rail who have taken the idea of ‘public libraries’ to the next level.

The idea is to try something new... inspire romance, 'not judge a book by its cover' and have a #blinddatewithabook

If you happen to find one of these books on your travels this week it is encouraged to take the book home, read it and just 'pop' it back on a train, bus or ferry when you're finished for the next person to enjoy!

Let us know in the comments if you find any of these mysterious books hidden around Sydney tomorrow!
