Trains are suspended on the Frankston Line and boom gates are down after a person was his by a train in Seaford.

It’s understood the person was hit by a train between Seaford and Carrum at about 1pm today.

Metro Trains has advised commuters to seek alternative transport, replacement busses are on the way and expected to operate until around 4.30pm.  Commuters are urged to use bus services such as the 708, 858/857 or the 780.

Trains continue to run between Flinders St and Mordialloc.

The circumstances surrounding the incident and the person’s condition are not known.
