Four Sydney men have copped hefty fines after breaching Covid border restrictions by lying on their border declaration forms to get into Queensland via superyacht.
The men were fined a whopping $4000 each for travelling to Gold Coast from Sydney on July 7th which is currently considered a Covid hotspot.
The men then travelled to Brisbane to watch the Wallabies vs France test match at Suncorp stadium.

According to Maritime Safety Queensland all four men have been placed in quarantine and have been fined $16,000 collectively for falsifying information on their border declaration passes.
The men were immediately tested for Covid-19 with all four tests returning with negative results.
The super yacht is not the first to be spotted travelling through Queensland waters with MSQ confirming it was one of three vessels to arrive form Sydney since last week, with two other skippers receiving fines.
Boaties are currently on notice as a result and have been warned to expect increased patrols on the border and random compliancy checks.
