New Zealand company Fonterra has announced they will take full ownership of the Darnum Milk Processing Plant from the start of 2019.

The dairy giant revealed in their quarterly financial results they have a handshake agreement with struggling Chinese company Beingmate to take over the facility from 31st December.

The plant employs 120 people and has produced nutritional powders, along with infant formula for Fonterra, Beingmate and other customers.
