Mettam’s Pool
Location: West Coast Drive, Trigg
Let’s start off with an easy one. A twist on your regular trip to the beach, Mettam’s Pool is a large natural rock that is protected by a reef. It’s easy to get to and gives you plenty of calm water to splash around in.
Lake Leschenaultia
Location: Rosedale Road, Chidlow
Head off to the Perth Hills for this huge recreational lake complete with sandy beaches! There are picnic and barbecue facilities so you can bring your lunch along with you.
Lane Poole Reserve
Location: Banksiadale Rd, Dwellingup
Just over 100km from Perth is this perfect spot. This huge reserve has plenty of space for picnics and swimming! There are several places to swim here including Baden Powell and Island Pool.
Honeymoon Pool
Location: Wellington National Park
2.5 hours of driving from Perth will bring you to this stunning spot. There’s lots to do in this national park, but if you’re looking to swim you can’t beat Honeymoon Pool.
Barrabup Pool
Location: St John Brook Conservation Park, Nannup
Around three hours drive from Perth, there are actually two pools at this popular conservation park – the Workers Pool and Barrabup Pool. You can also camp overnight here!
