Five Star Hotel Heading To Newcastle's Roundhouse Building

It's been revealed a five-star hotel will eventually move into the Roundhouse building in Newcastle's CBD. 

The Kingsley will boast 136 luxury rooms, a lobby bar, café with outdoor terrace and a new glass rooftop with restaurant, swimming pool and gymnasium.

Crystalbrook Collection has purchased the building, with a development application to be lodged early next year in hopes of construction commencing in late 2019, once Newcastle Council staff have moved out of the administration building and into their new headquarters in the city's west end.

CEO Mark Davie says the overall look of the building will remain the same. 

"The structure as you look at it now is not going to change vastly, it's pretty much the same except it'll have the glass top to it."
