Anyone planning on heading to tonight’s Townsville Eats will have to change their dinner plans.
The Townsville City Council postponing it because of the wet weather.
“Unfortunately, the wet weather forced us to not go ahead with tonight’s scheduled event as there was planned to be a lighting installation and a number of food trucks that can have issues with heavy rain,” said Councillor Ann-Maree Greaney.
“We want the launch event to be what our city deserves and having the event without the pop-up cinema, extensive feature lighting, community stage to showcase local talent and kids zone just wasn’t an option.
“Council is totally committed to delivering Townsville Eats as a regular event for our CBD.”
It will now be held on the April 26.
