Fatal Accident Near Singleton
He was riding a motorbike..
A man has died following a motorcycle crash near Singleton early this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the New England Highway near Hermitage road at Belford around 1:30am, but despite their best efforts the rider couldn't be save.
Sadly, the 46-year-old died at the scene.
Traffic on the highway is affected in both directions and a contra flow has since been established.
Southbound motorists can take Bell Road and Standen Drive as an alternative route.
Police are investigating how the crash occurred.
It's not believed another vehicle was involved.
