Donated Goods Starting To Get To Flood Impacted Townsville Families

Thousands of Townsville homes impacted by flood waters are starting to fill with donations from GIVIT.org.au

The charity website has been connecting donated goods to where they are needed most in our city.

Some families were lucky enough to receive goods within 2 weeks of the monster monsoon, while others are still waiting to receive their requested items.  

GIVIT have announced that the most requested items in the wake of the floods are:
Beds
Mattresses
TVs
Washing Machines
Dryers

Locals who have asked for essential items like beds, fridges, linen and washing machines are being processed as a priority. 

The GIVIT purchasing team are using monetary donations to purchase essential items for those in need. 

Requests for additional items like gaming consoles, and push bikes will not be purchased using the donated money, however if a member of the public donates an item, it will be passed onto a requestee.
