Australia’s iconic beauty brand Napoleon Perdis has gone into administration

The cult make up chain's 56 stores are now closed for stocktake, after accountants were appointed as administrators.

There are hundreds of jobs on the line, with documents showing 618 employees in 2015.

Perdis launched his make-up studio in 1992 and launched his own range in 1995.

The brand is known for their cult primers and mascaras and in August last year, the brand launched in Priceline stores

The brand joins other Australian retailers who have faced financial difficulties in recent times including Diana Ferarri, Mountain Designs, Gap, Ed Harry, and Skins.
