Crusty Demons Rider Tells Us What To Expect At The Townsville Show

International Crusty rider Brian McCarty will bring his mad skillz to the Townsville Showground this Saturday night and told Cliffo & Gabi what to expect.

“What I’m known for is the longest distance back flip done on a dirtbike in 212 feet,” teased Brian.

Gabi was curious to know how that even happens and she got the ultimate answer.

“It’s like a process, we start out on bicycles, and then smaller little dirt bikes and then from there you get the full size bike and pull the ramp back to your gap and just start going for it.”

When the training begins, Brian says riders use 40 x 60 ft foam pits to help with the fall.

An intense 2014 crash landed Brian in the back of an ambulance where he flat lined not once, but twice!

“They were pronouncing me dead, and I came back, they had to put me in a drug induced coma.”

Since the brush with death, Brian says he has altered his performance slightly but isn’t being over cautious.
