Tonight our North Queensland Toyota Cowboys will be the curtain raiser to the Beanie for Brain Cancer NRL Round for the Mark Hughes Foundation.

The NRL Beanie for Brain Cancer Round was the 'brainchild' of Matt Callander, who sadly passed away from his battle with brain cancer in October 2017.

The 2019 Beanie Round will be held in Matt's honour, with his family continuing to be a driving force behind the Beanie Round and the Mark Hughes Foundation.

It's not common for our Cowboys to be donning the cosy headgear, but tonight they'll show their support and fans can also purchase the new look beanies.

"Channel Nine, the NRL, Fox League and the Mark Hughes Foundation have united, and want you to buy a Beanie for Brain Cancer during Round 19 - Thursday 25th July - Sunday 28th July, 2019."- MHF

If you didn't purchase a beanie at last weekend's home game, you can jump onto the Mark Hughes Foundation website and order yours right now.

Our Cowboys will kick Round 19 off at 7:50pm tonight against the Sharks on Channel 9.
