Last night was a tough night for all of us.

Game One did not go to plan, with the Maroons going down in a record breaking loss of the Origin Opener.

And things are even worse for us Townsvillians, because it’s looking like Cowboys centre Justin O’Neill has taken home more than the heavy loss.

O’Neill took a solid head knock in an awkward and controversial tackle by Jarryd Hayne in the dyeing minutes of the game.

The blow was bad enough that it forced O’Neill come off from the Suncorp ground before the end of the game.

Today it’s been confirmed that O’Neill is recovering from concussion, and is unlikely to be play in the Cowboys home game against the Titans on Saturday night.

The Cowboys are currently in 7th on the NRL ladder, above the Titans in 12th, however with a mounting injury list including JT, Matt Scott and Pat Kaufusi we should be set for a hotly contested battle at 1300 Smiles.
