Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking feedback from the community on its Youth Strategy and Action Plan 2019-2022, which is an important document that provides a vision and a four year strategic plan responding to the key needs of young people ages between 12-25 years of age who live, study, work and recreate in Greater Shepparton.
Greater Shepparton Mayor Kim O’Keeffe said Council recognised the significant contribution young people make to our community.
“Significant consultation has been carried out with young people and the youth sector from across Greater Shepparton, with various forums and meetings held to gather ideas on the role of Council supporting young people and the youth sector.” Cr O’Keeffe said.
“The suggestions raised have been pivotal in informing the key directions of the strategy.”
“We have developed this strategy and are now asking people to give us their feedback. We will be seeking feedback in a number of ways and I strongly encourage young people, their families, the youth sector and the wider community to have their say on the draft strategy.”
You can find the draft on Council's website and at Council's Welsford Street Office.
Feedback on the strategy will be received until 5pm on Monday, December 19. You can give you feedback online at www.greatershepparton.com.au, or in person at Council’s Welsford Street Office.
