The controversial new shoe has already sold out!

Look away now, if you're not okay with blasphemous shoes, because these bad boys are causing a LOT of controversy!

The limited supply of  “Jesus Shoes” from Brooklyn-based company, MSCHF, sold out minutes after their release. Based on the 'Nike Air Max 97', but in no way affiliated with Nike, the price tag was a hefty one, at $3000 a pair. While the limited supply has been exhausted, the creators are saying there may be a "second coming" soon...

But what's in these shoes that make them so different/holy? Well.  these shoes come with Holy water from the River Jordan (injected in the sneaker bubbles and blessed by a priest, naturally), Vatican-red insoles scented with Frankincense, a steel crucifix on the shoelaces, and an inscription from Matthew 14:25.

As if that wasn't enough to enrage people, the inscription "INRI", which translates to, Jesus of Nazareth, king of the Jews" is on one of the heels.

Someone gonna get themselves smite for this.
