It’s an age old debate: are dogs better or are cats better? Are dog people better, or cat people?

Research from The General Social Survey, a social sciences study that has been conducted in the United States since the 1970s, revealed that a much higher percentage of people who own dogs find they enjoy their lives more than those who have cats as pets.

Research from 2018 showed that 36% of dog owners defined themselves as “very happy,” in comparison to 18% of cat owners.

Those who owned both cats AND dogs were also asked the same question, with 28% answering that their lives were very happy.

We’re sure the dog lovers of the world will have a field day with this one!

And, rest assured, cat lovers won’t back down from this fight.
