Last week, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed to ComicBook.com that an extended edition of Avengers: Endgame would be hitting cinemas this weekend:

“We are doing that. I don’t know if that’s been announced. And I don’t know how much. Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”

At the time, there was no specification of whether he was referring to just US cinemas, or if the re-release would be international.

Now, we can confirm that Avengers: Endgame - Bonus Content is coming to Australian cinemas!

Event Cinemas posted the news yesterday, announcing that tickets will go on sale tonight.

We can confirm... THIS IS HAPPENING! Avengers (re)Assemble!" they posted.

"As if we needed another excuse to rewatch Avengers: ENDGAME!

"Tickets will be ON SALE Tomorrow Night!"

The extended movie will have a 118 minute runtime, eight minutes of extra content and will hit Aussie cinemas on June 29th.

In a recent interview with Vulture, the film’s screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely defended the already lengthy duration of the movie.

“Twenty-two movies in, not only has the movie earned its length, but people deserve a movie of that substance,” McFeely said.

Markus continued, “If we told you the entire universe got snapped out and we were gonna wrap it up in a tight 85, you’d have issues.”

Would you fork out the price of another movie ticket for an extended version of Avengers: Endgame?
