Commuters Faced Hour-Long Delays On The Trains This Morning

Sydney train commuters have been in for a bit of a rough morning, with severe disruptions to services following a broken rail at Oatley.

There have been extensive flow on delays, with buses called to help supplement train services between Hurstville and Sutherland.

Pictures emerged on social media as peak hour got underway showing huge crowds piled onto platforms, with some commuters reporting wait times of nearly an hour.

Sydney Trains tweeted to say that while buses had been called, there is often a delay in starting the replacement services as the buses often need to be sourced from several companies, who need to also follow regular timetabling.
