The community's thrown its support behind legal action to challenge the Wallarah 2 Coal Mine's approval.
More than 200 people met up at Ourimbah over the weekend, voting to back the Australian Coal Alliance's move to block the controversial project going ahead.
It comes amid concerns about the mine’s impact on the local water supply.
The meeting also moved a group be formed, headed by Mayor Jane Smith and the ACA's Allan Hayes, to meet up with NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to lobby for a permanent refusal.
While there's also a call for donations, to bankroll the ACA's legal campaign.
