Chris Dawson Is Set To Face Trial After His Appeal Was Rejected

Former Sydney teacher and rugby league player Chris Dawson has been ordered to stand trial, after being accused of the murder of his wife, Lynette Dawson, close to four decades ago.
Lynette was last seen at their Bayview, Northern Beaches home in 1982.
Chris Dawson's lawyers had tried to stop proceedings, citing extensive pre-trial publicity through a podcast and the length of time for charges to be laid.
The 72-year-old was arrested at a house on the Gold Coast and was extradited to Sydney.
He's pleaded not guilty to murder and remains adamant she is alive. Mr Dawson is scheduled to face trial later this year.
