Victoria Police are investigating how a man lay dead on the side of a road for a number of days before being found this week.

The 79 year old STRATHFIELDSAYE was found down an embankment on the side of North Harcourt Road just after 830am on Tuesday by a member of the public.

His vehicle had been reported to police after being first spotted on Friday a few kms south of Ford Rd in North Harcourt -  his death is not being treated as suspicious.


The inaugural property outlook from realestate.com.au has found greater BENDIGO was one of the most in demand regional Victorian cities in the first quarter of 2018.

The survey found demand growth came in at just over 40 per cent for year on year growth with a medium house price checking in at 335 thousand dollars - a 2.4 per cent increase.

Bendigo Pottery in Epsom will be a thriving festival of creativity tonight with the Greater Bendigo council putting on the Creative Conversation event.

It's the second time they've hosted such a festival which will feature a panel speaking about how the municipality can be better creatively as part of the development of the ARTS and creative industries strategy.

Council strategic planner Stacey Poulter says there will be plenty of other things to do tonight as well.


The first youth week in Victoria is kicking off today with a number of events happening in region over the next 9 days.

The week is celebrating people aged between 12 and 25 by celebrating the successes, goals and dreams of the next generation.

A youth fair will take place in the MOUNT ALEXANDER SHIRE in CASTLEMAINE on APRIL 21st while Cohuna secondary will celebrate the week next Thursday with a number of student run activities.


The BFNL kicks off this weekend with a rematch of last year's grand final between premiers STRATHFIELDSAYE and EAGLEHAWK at CANTERBURY PARK.

Other matches see a match likely to play a big part in deciding the wooden spoon between MARYBOROUGH and CASTLEMAINE, while KYNETON takes on SOUTH BENDIGO, KANGAROO FLAT's travelling to play GISBORNE and rivals SANDHURST and GOLDEN SQUARE face off at the QEO
