Buses continue to replace trains between Penrith and Springwood in both directions on the Blue Mountains Line due to emergency works to remove a large bolder above the rail corridor at Glenbrook.

Passengers travelling on the Blue Mountains line between Penrith and Springwood (in both directions) should following signage, or speak with station staff and should ensure plenty of additional travel time.

These emergency works will also impacted the Bathurst Bullet, Dubbo XPT, and Broken Hill Xplorer which are have been replaced by road coaches.

Response crews continue to work on a complex operation to remove a large bolder to ensure safety of passengers.

Once the bolder has been removed and engineers and geotechnical experts have deemed the site safe, trains will resume.

All resources continue to work to have the bolder removed safely and enable trains to be resume as soon as possible.

However, there is no forecast as yet as to when services will resume.

Passengers are urged to check transportnsw.info before travelling.
