We’re all anxiously waiting for the sixth season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and we’ve been graced with a lot of new info of late.
We’ve been blessed with some short teaser clips, some info about how Gina will leave the show, and now we’re getting some insight into the #MeToo episode that will air.
Dan Goor, the series’ showrunner, revealed this year that a #MeToo ep was in development and now we have confirmation that one will be included in the new season.
Melissa Fumero, who plays Amy Santiago, revealed to TVLine this week that the #MeToo episode will focus on her character.
“I’ve never done an episode like this.
“You see a side of her that you’ve never seen before.”
Stephanie Beatriz, who plays Rosa Diaz, even directed the episode!
Melissa said of Stephanie, “I think it would have been nerve-wracking if it had been someone else, or someone I didn’t know.
“It was really wonderful to have my friend directing, where we already have a shorthand… It was so amazing to just have that trust, to feel protected and safe.”
The new season will hit HBO in the U.S. on January 10, and will be fast-tracked to SBS Viceland in Australia.
