Blood Donations Urgently Needed Over The Long Weekend

The Australian Red Cross Blood Service is calling for donations ahead of the long weekend, with urgent need for type O and A in particular.
More than 4,000 donors are desperately needed to give blood between Easter Saturday and Friday, April 26 in order to provide blood to cancer patients and road trauma victims.
"Blood donation is really easy - it takes only about one hour of your time and every blood donation saves three lives," Red Cross Blood Service spokesperson Jemma Falkenmire told the Hit Newsroom.
"Your blood donation will be on its way to saving a life in as little as 48 hours after you've given it."
