The best man of Queensland veterinarian Lukas Orda, who remains missing after the livestock ship he was working on capsized off the coast of Japan, joined Cliffo and Gabi this morning to plea for search efforts to be resumed.
The Gulf Livestock 1 carrier sank on September 2nd due to Typhoon Maysak. With local search and rescue operations currently suspended, family and friends of the forty missing crew members - including two Australians - are experiencing unimaginable torment as they wait for the decision to resume searches.
New South Wales resident Will Mainprize is also among those missing.
Each of the life boats has supplies for someone to live for up to 30 days, increasing the urgency for a search. Now, over a week after the tragic accident, the call for ongoing searches is increasing in urgency.
Lukas' best man Trent Jorgensen said the young husband and father is "not a guy that'll give up easily and he's got a lot to live for right now".
