‘Social media influencer’ is certainly a job title that didn’t exist last decade, but it’s a role we all became familiar with very quickly.

It’s also a job which has been met with its fair share of criticism.

Many follow influencers for inspiration, tips and discounts on everything from fashion and travel, to parenting and fitness, but a hefty number of people also don’t value the job highly.

This morning, Bec and Cosi reacted to a video posted by last year’s Love Island Australia contestant Cassidy, who defended her work as “a damn hard job”.
