Back 9 Golf Course To Continue Operation Under Echuca Neighbourhood House Inc

Echuca golfers are celebrating following Council's announcement that they have entered into a 9.5 year lease with Echuca Neighbourhood House Inc to continue the operation of the McKenzie Street golf course.

Mayor, Cr Adrian Weston named Echuca Neighbourhood House as the successful applicant following what he claimed to be a competitive Expression of Interest process, in which "submissions [were] assessed against a selection criteria and presented to council for adoption".

"We are pleased to provide Echuca Neighborhood House the opportunity to continue managing the Back 9 Golf Course."   - Cr Weston

President of the Echuca Neighborhood House Inc. Board, Gwen Smith said the board sees this as a great opportunity, and that they are ready for the challenge and excited to continue managing and improving the Back 9 Golf Course. 

“We are looking forward to expanding the use of the facilities to include training, education and other programs for the local community members, community groups, tourists and visitors."   - Ms Smith
