A 19-year-old poet from Adelaide has surprised Australian Ninja Warrior viewers after triumphing over every course obstacle, including the doomed Warped Wall.
A change from the usual gym-junkie types we see on the show, Alex Cusack is a kids' party host and budding poet who steped out last night in a big, baggy t-shirt rather than activewear or warrior gear.
He may not have looked the part, but he did it!
It wasn’t the fastest or most graceful performance, but Alex became the first Ninja of the episode to complete the course!
This year, competitors can choose between taking on the Warped Wall or the MEGA Warped Wall, which is one metre higher. For those that choose the MEGA wall, if they conquer the wall they score an extra $5000, however, if they don't get to the top, they are out of the competition!
Alex chose the regular wall, which we think was a wise choice.
You can check out the full video of Alex's run here.
Congratulations to this teenage poet ninja!
