The exercise, involving military watercraft and vehicles, tactical equipment and soldiers carrying weapons, will occur in the early hours of Wednesday morning to minimise disruptions to the community.
It comes after a similar drill at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on Tuesday morning.
A statement from QPS emphasised there is no known specific threat to Queensland, or the Commonwealth Games but they're making sure they are prepared to respond to any event that might unfold, to ensure we host a safe and secure Games.
