Are You A Cat Lady? Meet Your Patron Saint, St. Gertrude!

While everyone was busy celebrating St. Patrick’s Day yesterday, one saint (not formerly canonized), went unnoticed.
St. Gertrude of Nivelles spent her life dedicated to God and her many cats at the monastery she lived in. Her distaste for the fellas came after she was asked to marry the son of a duke, during a banquet her father was hosting. She declined.
It could have been because she was 10 years old at the time, it may have been another reason. We may never know.
