MacBook owners will have to carry their laptops in their carry-on luggage on all Virgin flights until further notice.

The airline shared the new guidelines in a statement: “Due to a worldwide recall by Apple of a number of Apple MacBook batteries, ALL Apple Mac Books must be placed in carry-on baggage only. No Apple Mac Books are permitted in checked in baggage until further notice.”

This follows an Apple recall for Macbook Units sold between September 2015 and February 2017 – specifically 15 inch models – due to their risk of overheating.
