Apple has officially announced a new streaming service will be launching this year as part of their upcoming Apple TV update.
Although the company has not yet disclosed how much the service will cost, they have revealed the ad-free subscription will be available in more than 100 countries and offer both online and offline viewing.
CEO Tim Cook says “we feel we can contribute something important to our culture and society through great storytelling”.
Available programmes include Carpool Karaoke, as well as string of new star-studded projects, like a reboot of Amazing Stories by Steven Spielberg, and a morning TV show drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.

A new Apple TV app is also on the way, providing consumers with Apple TV Channels which can stream HBO Showtime, Starz and CBS All Access.
The updates are set to launch during Australia's spring.
