Seven weeks after being severely damaged by the monster monsoon, Fairfield Central is ready to open most of their stores.
The centre will be celebrating the achievement with family fun and specials this Saturday.
Fairfield Central has given continuous Facebook updates on the repair progress since the flood water poured into the structure in February.
So now it's time to get back to the shops and support the locals who have started 2019 on a tough note.
An official opening ceremony will kick off at 7:30am this Saturday, with Woolworths set to re-open from 8am, putting on specials scattered throughout their newly renovated shelves.
At 10am free activities (jumping castle, face painting, balloon twisters) will kick off for the kids to enjoy while you get the shopping done.
Cafe Bambini will be operating prior to Saturday, and are actually set to open their doors this morning!
You won't be able to get your Kmart fix yet though, with extensive repairs still happening to our favourite shop.
It's believed that the store will be operating again in early May, so until then practice your patience when visiting the Nathan Street location.
