Anna Speedie Defines Equality For International Women's Day 2020

International Women's Day is this Sunday 8 March, and the new campaign #EachforEqual is being launched.

The campaign aims to keep people talking about equality, and promote equality for women and everyone in general.

Wodonga Mayor, Anna Speedie, says after 15 years of being on the board, there has been some shift in women leading, but not what you would expect over that period of time.

Equality doesn't mean that anybody gets an extra head start... it just levels the playing field

Women make up half the population, and should choose to "challenge the stereotypes...and broaden people's perceptions of what women can actually achieve," Jess said.

Anna Speedie says that it's really important that all girls should keep being themselves, you don't need to change yourself to fit in.
