The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has released their findings, after investigating a plane collision near Mildura Airport.

The incident occurred in November of 2015, with witnesses reporting Cessna Aircraft Company 310R registered VH- BWZ yawned to the left and colliding with terrain.

Officials have found the left engine was not producing power and was starving for fuel.

The right engine was operating efficiently.

Investigators have coupled this with the low altitude causing a symmetry in engine thrust and leading to the pilot losing control of the aircraft.

The aircraft was destroyed and the pilot was fatally injured.
