Get ready to roll up your sleeve because all Western Australians over the age of 30 will be eligible for a COVID jab from Thursday June 10.

From Thursday June 10, those aged 30 to 49 can receive the Pfizer jab, whilst those 50 and over are only entitled to AstraZeneca.

The ambitious expansion of the vaccine program has Australian Medical Association WA President Dr Andrew Miller puzzled.

“They’ve moved ahead of the rest of the country... and need to really concentrate on how many frontline workers... have not yet been vaccinated”, he said.

In Western Australia, there are more than 107, 000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, but the State Government said thousands more will be needed each week.

Western Australia COVID Jab Updates:

Premier Mark McGowan is calling on the Federal Government to send more Pfizer shots to WA's GP clinics.

McGowan said the significant boost for the vaccination program means,

“Far more Western Australians can get vaccinated, but I just say to everyone, you need to book”.

Bookings can be done online right here.
