Air quality warning issued for Wagga

Bushfire smoke drift

Article heading image for Air quality warning issued for Wagga

Air quality readings in Wagga are poor, with bushfire smoke drifting across the region the likely cause.

Director of Public Health, Tracey Oakman says people with asthma and other lung conditions should limit the time they spend outside, and should not engage in vigorous exercise.

Ms Oakman recommends staying in air-conditioned premises, where filtration systems can help to reduce the smoke particles in the air.

If symptoms don't settle, seek medical advice.
