Police have used the ‘Find My iPhone’ app, to track down an alleged carjacker after he allegedly stole an Uber driver’s car in Tranmere just before midnight, last night.

The victim was apparently dragged down the street as he attempted to stop the carjacker, eventually being left injured on the side of the road.

He was then taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Fortunately for the driver, his phone was still in the car, allowing police to track down the thief using the ‘Find My iPhone’ app, eventually arresting him 20km away at the Whitehorse Inn in the city’s north.
