Acting Prime Minister Michael McCormack has made his way to Mildura, touring through the region and meeting with locals.
Mr McCormack has met with businesses and government officials, visiting local Regional Growth Fund Applicants and hearing ideas and feedback straight from the community.
Mr McCormack was joined by Mallee MP Andrew Broad, who has welcomed the visit.
The two discussed a number of different infrastructure schemes, including the Mildura Future Ready scheme and irrigation at local pumping station.
Mr Broad says the people of our patch are fair-minded, decent people contributing a great deal to the Australian economy, so to have a leader in our country recognise and witness our contribution is great to see.
Mr McCormack says the Government is investing in the infrastructure Mallee deserves to help build capacity, further grow confidence and investment , and help connect the region to the world.
