Pack the brolly today - a thunderstorm's on its way to SA.

A severe weather warning's been issued for 8 districts including the Metro area, Mount Lofty Ranges, Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Riverland, Murraylands, South East and parts of the West Coast, North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral districts.


The Bureau says we can expect in excess of up to 30 mls of rain in the Hills and 90 km/hr wind gusts.

Heavy showers should fall later this morning before easing in the afternoon and clearing by the evening.


After a top of 27C yesterday and temps expected to reach 23C today, the mercury should drop to 19C on Thursday and 21C on Friday ahead of a sunny weekend.

Saturday 22C, Sunday 26C and Monday 31C.
